yolinko language learning platform

Yolinko.com is a platform to help people learn languages from native speakers.

My work at My China Connection caught the attention of some Chinese entrepreneurs in the Silicon Valley.   As such, I’m now Chief Editor at Yolinko.

What is Yolinko?   It is an on-line platform for people who want to learn practice their conversational skills with native speakers.

In China, many people want to learn to speak English, but native speakers are not always readily available.

And who wants to ride a bus across someplace like Beijing, Shenzhen, or Shanghai to get to a crowded class when you can meet individually or in a very small group with a native English speaker online?

Yolinko provides  you with the attention you need and the convenience you want.   All you need is a computer and an Internet connection.

Are you interested in improving your English?   Or do you know someone in China who wants to go to school in the United States?  Do business with the West?

These are reasons to get an English tutor from Yolinko.com!    A free lesson, “Getting Acquainted” is available to see if this format works for you.

Make an appointment and start down the path of fluency!

Welcome to English Corner Online

esl english corner online

If you are an ESL student who wants to improve your conversation skllls, English Corner Online is here to help!

I have heard that in China there is a bigger demand for English conversation practice with native speakers than there is a supply of native English speakers.

Well, if you can’t bring Mohammed to the mountain, bring the mountain to Mohammed!  That’s why I started “EnglishCorner-Online.com“.

Whether you are a student getting ready for college study abroad or you need English to advance your career.  I’m available to help you improve your spoken English.

It is convenient and easy.   No need to catch the bus to a language class.  You get individual attention from the comfort and privacy of your home.

Here’s what you need to get started:

  1. A computer with a microphone and speakers.  A web cam is also helpful, so we can speak with each other face-to-face. (Communication is 70% non-verbal.)
  2. An account with Skype or ooVoo.   I recommend both so if Skype has an outage, we can switch to ooVoo without any interruption.
  3. A means of paying to PayPal.   PayPal is available in China.  You pay through your credit card to them, then PayPal pays me.  It is secure, so you don’t have to worry about giving your credit information to a stranger.

For part of the lesson,  I can use “My China Connection” for teaching idioms.    We can also talk about things which interest you.  With some students I use Cambridge’s “Real Listening and Speaking”.    This approach is very flexible and customized.

Interested?   Drop me a note at lan_dawei@ymail.com and we can arrange  a time to see if this is a fit and discuss prices.   Or if you have a friend or relative in China who you think would be interested, please let them know.
